Dear readers,
Following the very exciting news that we've hit our target of 500 pledging, it's now all systems go. I was back in Leeds yesterday, doing a bit of reporting, checking out some possible offices and chatting to a few more people. Wandering along the Aire as the sun set showed the city at its best, golden light on red brick.

This is a unique opportunity to launch something incredible. In other cities where our sister titles have set up, we're now read by tens of thousands of people and our reporters have won national awards. In the words of Tina Brown, former editor of Vanity Fair and the New Yorker: “If I was a young writer right now, I would want to work for Mill Media”. This is your chance (and you don't need to be young!).
We're looking for someone with at least three years of experience in journalism, who will be able to get going quickly, working on complex and important stories.
